so, this is actually not a piece done purely for pleasure!! ive spent the last week frantically writing a Sociology Journal (all 5000 words of it! ) - the title of which is 'The Changing Face of Japan'! its actually about globalization in Japan etc., but the point is that this is the front cover i did for it! it was also my motivation to get it all written early, so i could spend some time inking this (i sketched it before i even started writing!!) - it was kinda my reward!! for all you Japanese buffs, it says 'Changing Face of Japan' on either side of her (right to left), for which i am indebted to Mihoko Fukushima (i guess -sensei would be appropriate here!! ^^) for this!! she was so kind, and even cleverly did half the text (the half on the side of the 'modern' woman) in the 'foriegn' alphabet, and the other half in the more traditional one, to fit with the idea behind the image and project!! she kindly helped me out a lot, and stopped me stressing too much over the journal, so a great many thanks to her *bows*!!
(unfortunately, this is actually an unfinished scan - i scanned it before i wrote the title in English on it - down the line - but oh well!! its about right!! ^^)

Edit: HA!! i got a 1st!!! la la la *'got a 1st in my journal' dancing ensues* yayness!!!
