A Lady. I have finally managed to draw a woman who doesn't look depressed - it passed the test (i.e. showing it to Donata and saying 'does she look as depressed as they usually do?' ). I developed a bit of a complex a while ago when my friend Donata pointed out to me that everyone i draw looks unhappy! i actually feel a little guilty - its like im ruining my own creations' lives! Anyway, Lady isn't depressed. She's more 'come hither'-y, oddly! When i started sketching her i had her in mind as one of those jazz club lounge singer types - you know, the ones that drape themselves over the piano while they sing the blues. ......that hair was not fun, but i was pretty happy about it in the end! *Daisy* *Full View Please!*
Wow Luce, she's gorgeous - big liquid eyes, very "come-hither" - I agree! I always adore the little details you have in your pieces, like the hair-piece and wrist ribbon, it's such a nice flair. Gorgeous! And sometimes they do look a little emotional, but I like it - I cannae draw emotion except on horses! (Epic fail)

hehe 'big liquid eyes', i like the sound of that! twas what i was trying to aim for, so thanks for the compliment! as for the little details, yeah, i loves it when they work out well! my dad always said to me that one of the marks of a good artist is knowing when to stop - sometimes i do, sometimes i dont, but i think this is one of the lucky ones when i did stop in time! ^^ don't diss the emotive horses! tis in no way a fail - i doubt i could draw a horse with as much skill as you can!

Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.

The moral of this story is,
never give up hope.
