So, I've been pretty absent for the past few weeks. Well more like couple of months. This whole two jobs business (not including the flute lessons I'm giving on Monday evenings) is pretty darn tiring, so I've let quite a few things slip and consequently now have a lot of catching up to do! There will be some new art some time soon, though I stupidly left my art folder at work (the library) on Saturday, and now have to wait until I can get into Cambridge and get it back to finish some pictures that I'm working on. I also have a few new ideas I'm just itching to get down on paper
The only other news (such as it is) is that I'm working on my next travel plans! I've got two potential plans which are sort of merging into one cunning plan (though this may depend on my money situation
) I've developed a strange fascination with the word Illinois. Yes, you read that right the word Illinois. I just love how it looks and sounds, and feel similarly about the word Chicago, so I'm sort of thinking about just going and having a little wander around Illinois to see if it's as interesting as it sounds. The other half/alternative plan is based on the fact that my friend Alice, last year's awesome Japan-buddy, is moving to California (specifically San Diego) at the end of this year. So I may well either spend a few days with Alice and check out California, or depending on expense a) scrap the California part and try and persuade Alice to come check out Illinois with me or b) scrap the Illinois part of the plan and just go chill out with Alice in California. We shall see
I can't say I've ever really felt the urge to see California though, so that would mainly be to see Alice (unless I found out some exceptionally cool stuff I'd want to see/do in California). In the spirit of grand travelling plans, anyone out there have any views on which of these things I should do? Or alternatively could suggest a better plan?
